The Tampa Bay Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps experienced a short but successful run as a DCI drum corps in 2000 and 2001. In 2002 due to many circumstances merged with the Kiwanis Kavaliers Drum and Bugle producing the largest drum corps in their history.

      Well, 10 years later, WE ARE BACK! The Tampa Bay Thunder Drum and Bugle Corps will once again bring fans to their feet as an all-aged corps entering DCA competition in the summer of 2011.

We are also pleased to announce that Jimmy Russo will be working with the Thunder as a consultant and leadership mentor to the program.

Tampa Bay Thunder Drum & Bugle Corps Summer Percussion Clinic. July 17th, 2010 @ Springstead High School. Cost: $25.00 per student. Registration begins at 11:00am. Thunder will provide battery and front ensemble equipment, but feel free to bring your own drum. Bring your choice of sticks and mallets; Sticks and mallets will also be provided (Pro-Mark). More..

We'd like to introduce you to our Drum Major for 2011, Mr. Mitchell Weber. Mitchell is 18 years old and a senior at F.W. Springstead High School. Primarily a trumpet player, Mitchell has been a Drum Major for the Springstead Eagle Brigade for the past 2 years. Mitchell will be enrolling at the University of South Florida in the Summer of 2010 as a music education major. More..
